For
Women
There is no divide in the sexes when it comes to
'street self defence' as it is all about technique practice and knowledge
- Not always brute force!
Some of our training often consists of various pad work with a partner so is
easy to start and is good for an all over body workout program. But
with us - you will learn how to punch correctly with correct form
and utilize your body mechanics to increase your natural
strength.
Male OR female - its a great way to burn calories, loose
weight and tone up whilst learning how to protect
yourself.
It has been researched that some of our more intense
workouts can burn up to 600 calories!!

SELF
PROTECTION
We have had various couples at our club who train together, and people
who have just come down for a few lessons before going travelling
and found our training very beneficial. A few
current students - (male and female) work in industries
such as prison service / door staff / care support, and
in particular find the filipino and Jun Fan Gung fu aspects of training
very useful in their day job.
Wing chun is a style of Kung Fu, and was
developed by a woman and is the fundamental nucleus at Bruce Lee's JUN FAN
GUNG FU and what we teach here.
We don't have large classes with everyone stood
in line for the entire lesson and told to get on with it - everyone at the
club help out and I always make time for new starters
on a one to one basis throughout training. There are students of ALL
levels here at the club from beginner to
intermediate
and everyone is helpful and
friendly.
Why not try a new way of getting into shape AND
learning how to protect yourself at the same
time.
